Working with the first university-based Institute for Advanced Study ZiF (Center for Interdisciplinary Research), University of Bielefeld, and the IIAS (Israeli Institute of Advanced Study), JIAS, will be hosting a colloquium on Human Dignity between January, 21stand 25th, 2019.

This project is run under the rubric of the UBIAS (University-Based Institutes for Advanced Study) Networks 2nd Intercontinental Academia on Human Dignity.

The sessions will consider the following themes:

Negotiation of Human Dignity: the South African Experience; The struggle for Basic Needs and Rights in South Africa; Transformative Justice in South Africa: Record and Reality; Religion and Remembrance in South Africa; Creativity and Re-creation in South Africa.
